Pier 11 Studio is now taking workshop proposals for 2027.
We are primarily interested in local or visiting artists that teach one, two, three or four day workshops in printmaking, painting, mixed media, collage and book arts.

What Would You Like To Teach?

At Pier 11 Studio, we like connecting professional teaching artists local and from around the U.S. who have a passion to share and teach their honed creative practices and methods. We are looking for experienced instructors who want to bring something unique to aspiring or established artist participants.

We are currently accepting proposals for art classes in printmaking, painting, mixed media, collage and book arts. If you are interested, please submit the form on the right. We provide airfare, lodging and breakfast for instructors. We look forward to bringing you and your students to Astoria and Pier 11 Studio. We also encourage instructors to bring work samples to exhibit on our display wall during class.

Our studio is fully equipped with a 24” x 48” Takach press, paper, linocut tools, brayers, drying racks, tools, newsprint, tissue, Akua Intaglio Non-Toxic Soy & Honey Based Inks, Speedball Water Based Inks, brayers, barons, linocut carving tools, ink knives, five 51” x 24” adjustable work tables on wheels, folding chairs, towels, newsprint, latex gloves, trash cans, fans, sink for clean up, water cooler, refrigerator, microwave, coffee and tea makers. Depending on what your class requires, we can accommodate up to 11 students. We charge $25/hr for the use of the space including set up and break down.

*Our studio is not conducive to encaustic painting workshops.
