About Barbara Weiss
I have been creating for over twenty-five years. I began as a glass blower in Portland, Oregon. Later, I transitioned to encaustic painting (happy to still work with flame!) and oil and cold wax. I think of my paintings as acts of faith—exploring the space between the known and unknown. My work explores internal relationships with landscapes and journeys, including themes of disruption, transformation, and restoration.
