Explore how to create an urban setting using the magic of monotype. We will be doing a tritone-dry-point technique which refers to the use of three distinct colors to add depth to the prints.

About Hugo Anaya

Hugo Anaya is a professional printmaker with many years of experience both teaching and showing. While attending Portland State University and PNCA in Portland OR, he apprenticed under master printmakers which launched him onto his artistic path. His teaching style is personal, direct and always tailored to accommodate the interests and needs of his workshop participants.

Anaya's professional background includes many years of shows and sales in galleries in both the US and Mexico as well as workshops. Some of his shows include Boston Printmakers, Gene Byron museum and the Hermenegildo Bustos gallery in Guanajuato. He has been represented by the Alysia Duckler Gallery in Portland for many years. He has taught workshops in many places around the world, including the Monotype Guild of New England (MGNE), the Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle, The Boston Print Makers and in his home town in Guanajuato, Mexico.
