ASTORIA OPEN STUDIOS TOUR
July 25th & 26th, 11:00am - 5:00pm

Pier 11 Studio is participating again this year in the annual Astoria Open Studios Tour. This gives the general public a chance to explore Astoria’s creative culture by visiting over 50 artists in their studios all weekend. Since this event highlights the immense talent and vibrant growing community in Astoria, we thought we would celebrate by inviting artist team Anna Daedalus and Kerry Davis to join us for an exhibit in our main gathering space for the Astoria Open Studios Tour. Visitors from near and far get an all-access pass into the creative worlds of each artist. Artists share their techniques learned over years of practice and patrons get a chance to see their latest work.

Pier 11 Studio is a place of creative learning and bringing community together poised perfectly to invite inspiration on the Columbia River waterfront. So many came by last year to enjoy the views and learn about our many upcoming classes and events.

The studio serves a duel purpose as the working studios of Elise Wagner and Gabe Fernandez. We are so excited to invite you in to learn more about our work and studio practice. Gabe is a photo realist painter represented by Portland’s Russo Lee Gallery and Patricia Rovzar Gallery in Seattle. Elise paints with encaustic and oils and also prints with encaustic wax. Her work can be seen locally at Imogen Gallery, Lost in Composition Gallery in Seattle and Calloway Fine Arts in Washington, D.C. Both artists are working towards their shows in September, Gabe in Portland at Russo Lee Gallery and Elise at Astoria’s Imogen Gallery.

The Astoria Open Studios Tour is a free, family-friendly event for anyone interested in meeting creative people and learning about Astoria’s vibrant art community. Look for the printed tour guides featuring all artists in galleries, coffee shops, hotels across Astoria in early July.

Both Elise and Gabe are also among the art in a group show featuring all of the participating artists in the Astoria Open Studios Tour “Artists of Astoria”, July 11 – August 4 at Astoria Visual Arts. We look forward to seeing you!
